US BOOTHS / DESIGN NOTEBOOK / 2026–2027
Restaurant color directions for 2026–2027.
Explore three original seating palettes informed by published color forecasts, with practical guidance on samples, lighting and material selection.
Research reviewed October 18, 2026 · Original concepts by US Booths
Sherwin-Williams has published its 2026 forecast and its 2027 Rewild outlook. The combinations below are US Booths interpretations, not manufacturer color matches or evidence of the most-purchased restaurant colors.
Clay & olive
Use a grounded green for the seating, warm clay on a smaller surface, and a light neutral around the room. Our interpretation of nature-connected color, not an official manufacturer palette.
Before you specify
Compare samples in daylight and your evening lighting. A wall-paint forecast does not establish upholstery durability.
Compare actual material samples →Ink & warm oak
A deeper seating color can anchor an intimate dining zone while warm wood and a light background keep the composition balanced. Keep the darkest finish away from areas where you need easy visual wayfinding.
Before you specify
Review grain, finish, abrasion and cleaning documentation for the actual product selected.
Compare actual material samples →Burgundy & blue
Pair a heritage-inspired upholstery direction with a quieter contrasting accent. Rewild discusses unexpected combinations and revived references; this combination is our own design proposal.
Before you specify
Order physical swatches. Screen colors here are illustrative and are not paint codes or catalog matches.
Compare actual material samples →Color is one part of the specification.
Compare the material under the light your guests will actually see. Review texture, seam placement, cleaning instructions and supplier performance documentation. A color direction does not establish stain resistance, fire performance or availability.
Pair your direction with a layout →Research behind the notebook
